Port News










The Port Authority of Singapore has announced fifteen container vessels at the port will receive an additional 10% discount on port dues if they are carrying out cargo works with a port stay of not more than five days. The discount will stay in operation for the next twelve months and is in addition to existing concessions.

Several vessels carrying chemicals at the terminal have caught fire which is restricting movements at the port. Emergency operations are in place and the terminal has been evacuated.

Hapag Lloyd will introduce  the "Black Sea Mediterranean Express which will be a weekly connection  between ports in Egypt, Isread, Turkey and the Black Sea Ports. The capcity of the4 ships will be 1,700 TEU with a higher than normal refer capacity. 

The first voyage will commence from Damietta on February 16. The port rotation is: Damietta • Port Said (East) • Ashdod • Istanbul (Mardas & Marport) • Novorossiysk • Odessa • Constanta • Istanbul • Izmit • Izmir • Damietta.
