China is extending its control of the markets to commodities and are looking at regulations for programme trading in futures markets.

Asia sees coffee slowdown

Coffee from both Indonesia and Vietnam have decreased mainly due to the problems with the last tow harvests. These two nations account for about a quarter of global trade.

"Nigeria port terminals are operating at 40% below capacity as volumes decline. It would appear that the cause is related to rice and motor vehicles along with the new Central Bank of Nigerial policy on foreign exchange
